Cockerlover gave a perfect description. All I can add is keep in mind that some types of dogs (long floppy eared types) are much more prone to ear problems so it can't hurt to smell them daily to stay on top of it.

Our cocker lost his h...

Yes it is tough to pet sit. I don't know anything about it myself but I would call the owners immediately and ask them about it and if you can't get them call their vet first thing in the morning. If it is nothing the vet will probably tell you ove...

Yeah,

Our dog often acted very needy and demanding when he had an ear infection or urinary tract infection. We always had to remind ourselves that when he was not his ususal perfect well mannered self that we should take him to the vet. ...

Has anyone had expereince with feeding Vegan dog food? My vet said she thought it was ok for the dog because they are onmivores. There is also a local vet who has a 16 year old mix he has been feeding Vegan food to for 8 years. He checks the dogs ...

Yes. Dogs are a lot like children in that they often feel safer and calmer with a schedule, structure and limits. Without them dogs do not know what to expect. You guys are much bigger dogs and control the food and bathroom. I'd be anxious too!
