I'm so sorry that this happened to you.

Just a thought. If you have to handle her again when she's being aggressive, throw a towel or small blanket over her before you pick her up. Then if she tries to bite, you're protected.

There is a medical school near where I live that uses stray cats to train students how to do tracheal surgery on babies.

Each cat is used for exactly three surgeries and then adopted out by folks in the medical school or their families.
