Did HSUS and PETA say WHY they wanted the dogs put down? I know that some former fighters cannot be rehabilitated, but the ones whose pictures I just saw don't seem to be like that. I wish we had a sticky just for photos of "mean" pit

You all are out of line, here. This woman wanted to hear that she could get her husband a dog that would work with his allergies. You told her that it might not be possible, even with a lot of extra work (bathing, etc.)

Thank you Gunny. I've had dogs all of my life and only one had the "fight" response, which I did everything in my power to discourage. Training protection dogs should be left to FOLKS WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
