She is ADORABLE! It's not the breed, but how you raise the dog. I have a lab x pit too, but refer to her as simply a lab mix to people who don't need to know otherwise.

Keep charged batteries in the smoke detector.

Crate your dog during the day if he is prone to destructive behavior

Talk to your vet about medication, other therapy for nervous dogs.

What is the best way to break up two dogs that are fighting? I recently learned the hard way that using your hands is not the smartest thing to do, of course. So how do you guys handle it?

Eww. Looks puppy mill-ish to me! Cockers are so inbred anyway, so I'd be very careful just who your friend purchases one from. I personally would not trust this site. I would never buy or adopt a cocker either.

Update:

I actually took a few pH readings at home and the pH was normal (~5). So I took the rest of the urine samples to the vet my parents take their dogs to for a second opinion. This vet said there is no sign of infection. pH normal,...
