The mother has some Jack Russell in her and I think the father of the puppies are Australian shepherd??? Not quite sure. Yes, I have some pictures, but I'm new to this site and do not see where I can attach them.

What you describe sounds like kennel cough but you should take to the vet just to make sure. Sometime a collapsing trachia(sp.?) can make a dog start coughing . Kennel cough is just a fancy name for respitory infection just like use humans get. A vet...
