It was sort of near a window but not directly.
Petsmart claims they haven't had any problems with their hamsters (not that they'd tell us anyway).
We are actually going to Petco this weekend. They have a litter of 4 weeks olds ...

2 hamsters in 3 weeks. My daughter purchased them at Petsmart. The first one lasted 10 days. We went and got the replacement and this one lasted a week. We can't figure out why. She is only 10 so is devistated.
We have them in habit...

I'm sorry about the Lyme Disease. Our last dog had it. Don't be surprised if they have to be on the medication longer than 3 weeks. I believe KC was on medication for almost 12 weeks. I hope they are feeling better soon.
