Try sitting down. I taught my puppy to sit, lie down and stay, all while I was sitting cross legged right in front of him. It takes away the option to "jump" for the treat. Good luck!

I know life is busy, but if at all possible try to take the time to house train your dog. My 8 week old puppy was fully house trained by 11 weeks. Dogs don't like to go where they sleep or eat, so crating your puppy at night is a great way to speed...
