also you mentioned it was a new hous.e brand new? or at least, brand new carpeting? have it shampoo'd. professionally. i read that the chemicals in new carpet somehow entice a dog to pee there. the smell or something.

mine have never pooped and peed on the same trip outside. the will pee, then anywhere from 5 mins later to 5 hrs later, ask to go out to poo.

so, multiple trips outside i guess

anytime i have to clean anything pet related that has a potty odor i mix in natures miracle with whatever cleaning solution i am using. maybe vinegar would help the odor?

i think it depends on the dog, not necessaritly the sex. my female came home @ 11 wks old. she was fully trained, asking ot go out, at 5-5.5 months old. my boy, came home at 9 mos old, 3 days after being neutered. he humped like crazy. that stopped...
