I use Revolution - which does not act as an intestional de-wormer.

So my routine is to de-worm for intestional worms on a 3 month cycle. I agree it would be excessive to de-worm AND give a monthly heartworm/intestional wormer combo.

Scout good luck with going back to school - that is a good field to be in, there is need not only in hospitals, but emergency clinics and physician offices as well.

I will sometimes add ice to my dog's water - but they tend to play bobbing for cubes when I do. There are some great water bowels that have a liquid center that can be frozen (over and over again) to keep the water cold.

My dogs are "regulars" on Natural Balance - they do tend to have bigger poos - however, for a breed that is prone to full anal sacs - I have not have any problems as they are being expressed naturally. So for us - big poo is good poo ...
