Hounds are not aloof to their owners, and if he likes the boxer/mastiff/lab personality he will *not* want a hound.

You get a snood and use that to keep the ears dry. Same with bloodhounds, afghans, suluki, cockers, setters, and a dozen other long eared breeds.

Can't say I agree with large breed foods. Cant stand them at all. A nice, stable adult food will give a nice, stable growth to a dog. But we all have what works. Everything in my house gets adult food from 3 months on.

But we al have diffrent living enviorments. Diffrent dirt types. Diffrent dogs finding puddles to wallow in. My point was that weekly bathing is not to much as long as the proper method is taken, such as correct shampoo and conditioner.

Sorry. I can't agree. It depends on what you bathe them with, but we have plenty that come into the clinic for weekly baths to keep them fresh, and anyone that shows them does at least a bath a week, if not more.

Just bathe him. They dry quickly and your home is probably climate controlled. Get some shampoo and conditioner, toss him int eh sink, soak him, scrub him, rinse him, condition him, rinse him, towel him, and be done with it. Can be done in under...
