what kind of dog are you looking for? Did you try a breed club first. The most reputable breeders are usually found within a breed club.

Try the shelters and rescues. They have plenty of mutts, esp. over breed ones that people think are cute. You never know what you will find if you look. consider a young adult. Why keep puppy mills and byb in buisness?...

congrats on your new best friend. Yes I do belive you have a full blooded Aussie. They are born with tails, we just dock them when they are young. some people choose not to, so you have a beautiful flowing tail.
