Monterey, Ca has some great beaches for doggies as well. My dad is always taking their springer to Breakwater Beach and there are usually no other dogs unless he's got a dive class going and one of his students has brought theirs as well.

My GSD sits like that all the time...I call her "broke foot" and wonder how it could not be uncomfortable for her like that. Sometimes she'll be asleep and that front paw will be sort of up on toes...doesn't phase her in the least.

Turns out the sores are not allergies... I was pretty shocked. The vet said that it looks like she is leaping off of something and it scratches her feet and they got infected. Makes perfect sense, the front porch is sort of like a launching pad ...

You know, we just got back from Lowe's and there are some stakes that you can put in the ground that are supposed to repel them...I did not see how much they cost, but that versus dead mole breath on my darling doggy just might be worth it.

No, I haven't been using any cleaners that I have never used before. I wonder if she's just allergic to something that we have walked through on one of our walks. They are still building part of our development, so there is all kinds of icky stuf...
