It really worries me how he is right at the edge of the nest. They had posted that he can't fall out, but it sure looks like it can happen. I don't know what the parents would do if Freedom fell. I wish he would get back in the middle of the nest.

Tonight when I checked, Freedom was in the nest by himself stretching his wings, but mom was on the perch above the nest watching. Later right at dark, both parents were standing guard on the perch.

If there won't be anyone to let the it out during the day, I would suggest a dog that is old enough to hold it for that length of time, instead of a puppy. I feel so bad for puppies that have to stay in a crate all day waiting to relieve themselves....

That last rotten egg is still in the nest. Freedom was sitting on it and mama pushed him off of it so that she could sit on it. I can't believe that it hasn't broken yet.

I've never seen any type of rectal problem like that. Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion. Well, I would say whether you keep him or not he needs to be seen by a vet. Have you tried to locate his owner by calling your local shelters, vets etc....
