Gosh Roxy, that is a tough call. Dallas is an absolutely gorgeous dog. I would hate to have to make that decision. Although I am loathe to suggest this, it sounds like quite a deep-seated problem and you might have to go to a behaviour specialis...

Thanks that was really interesting to learn! Most people with dogs here have live in maids who also look after their kids while they are at work. But I think doggy day care is a great concept and a good option for those who need it.

Your dogs are tiny so perhaps he's afraid he'll roll onto them in his sleep. Why don't you try putting a basket on the floor on your side of the bed and getting them to sleep there? It might take a few weeks for them to settle if they are not use...
