Well, our Sadie weighs 2 & 3/4. She is 4 years old. She stands up for herself! As far as when we are not home-she roams freely about the house just as the others do. When she was a pup, we did crate her but we weaned from this in gradually longer tim...

I have never known of a dog coming into a heat cycle at such an early age.

You can't go wrong with a mastiff. Just treat her as you would want to be treated yourself. Love each other. Good luck with your new dog!

Oh, haven't noticed our Mastiff shedding really. However, she is outside moreso than the Doberman.

Our Doberman does shed. I think a Mastiff is a good choice.
