I think pitbulls have a propencity (spell) to be mean if the environment and training brings this out in them.

oh....also too, Parvo stays alive for 7 months after your house/property has been contaminated with it,even under snow.
Granted, if your puppy survives, and with great Vet care your puppy can survive. You cannot allow any puppy/dog on your prope...

I would say that if you do not plan to show your dog in the conformation venue, why put your dog in that type of agony.
Cropping ears is very, very painful.
