More than likely the dog brownies, cookies, etc. are made of carob which is safe for dogs. I can't imagine a store selling chocolate treats for dogs when there is so much public knowledge how dangerous chocolate is for dogs.

Several months ago I heard that it was best to feed a puppy with a mixture of puppy and adult dry dog foods. I think the reasoning behind that was the belief that doing so would slow down a large breed puppy's growth. Not so sure about that.
