I think when this poster said something about 8 pups in his dog's litter, he meant that his dog came from a litter of 8 puppies. Not that he'd bred the dog (which is a male) and it had a litter of 8 puppies.

I'd say have a chem panel 12 and a cbc done on the dog if it hasnt' already been done so (really, it should have). I'd also take the dog to another vet for second opinion. I'm not sure youre going to get better advice from people on this forum than...

Once puppies near their adult height/weight their appetite can slow down. If your puppy is still eating and drinking and acts otherwise healthy I wouldn't worry about it at all. Since he is getting close to adult height and weight, it certainly won...

I'm not exactly sure why it's the 'AKC' that has 'ruined' these breeds anyway. Other countries have kennel clubs that recognize the JRT (or Parson Russell TErrier, as it's known in other countries) that have breed standards. Why does everyone alway...

Just remember that his being 'up and at em' isn't necessarily a good thing. You want to keep him as immobile as possible for the next weeks, even if he wants to move or is able to move. YOu certainly don't want him reinjuring it by trying to do too...

Get a clue, pony up and become a responsible dog owner. That's my advice. While you're at it, if your dog had these puppies, get her spayed. Immediately.
