His coat looks real rough. He sure is cute though. I am thinking maybe way back in his lines there was a mix of another breed (but the dominant trait is still Chihuahua)

How do you all suggest I brush the matts (not big matts) out of my Poodle mix's coat? I know you are supposed to start at the bottom and work your way up, but the matts are at the bottom and the top is perfect and matt free.
