My 47 pound dog got into a tube of hydrocortisone (1%) about 1/3 of the medicine left in 1 oz tube. Called ER vet who said call poison control at SPCA. Called SPCA poison control and after 10 minutes of elevator music (seriously, NO ONE is picking ...

Was able to get into the vet Thursday. She was as baffled as I was having never seen anything like it, but we are going to try a course of antibiotics to see if that does anything before we send a culture to the labs.

I wanted to clearify - I do plan to take her to the vet but need to know if I should rush her tomorrow or if it can wait until Monday. I live in Houston, and with the hurricane coming getting in to see the vet may be difficult and require that I tak...

My dog has not had an accident at my house or any other house in about a year, but everytime I take her to visit my brother and his family she poops in his house - usually upstairs in his bedroom. He has another dog, and while I won't say they are f...

My Australian Shepard mix was licking her paws this afternoon. When I checked them, I noticed that she had a single raw spot on her a paw pads on three of her feet (not on the very bottom, but a little to the edge and between). It almost looks like...

Pen2: She is taken over to either my parents' or my brother's house 2-3 times a week - where there are other dogs and children (not always family children, but sometime friends, etc.). She is taken to Petsmart at least once a week if not more and th...

She did get some socialization, just not as much as I would have liked. But again, she doesn't act this way if she is in a store, the vet, at a house, even in a parking lot. At those places when she meets a stranger she is almost embarrasingly frie...
