When I was growing up I had a friend whose father was part of the canine unit. These dogs where their partners. They would not forget them as the dogs ALWAYS went everywhere with them.

What can I do for a hurt leg while waiting for vet visit tomorrow? Should I try to ice? Ace bandage? Pain relief (she has some medicine left from when hurt a leg once before)? I've got her in her crate right now and as quiet as she'll let me.
