I have had several dobermans over the past 35 years and some of them would have been the best with children and others I would not have left alone with a child.

Sounds like a two step training to me

First you have to teach him to walk on a leash, I mean a loose leash with him at your side. Next you have to teach him to sit at your side when you are talking to people.

I have built whelping boxes before but they take up so much room when in storage, I like the way the durawhelp packs up and you don't have to paint it before each time you use it but I don't know how it will hold up

Has anyone use the Durawhelp boxes for larger breeds. Their web site makes it look good, they say it is strong enough and I like the way it folds for storage. The material makes for easy and good cleaning.

We use paw wax on the pads of the dogs paws for indoor dog shows. It give them traction on the polished concrete floors.

I never heard of it used for medical reasons.

Only your vet can answer your question.

If it is time to let her go don't hang on and let her suffer. If you truly love her and I have no doubt that you do you may have to make a decission that is best for her and not best for you.
