I meant maintenance mainly with grooming. I considered Dobermans but would they be suitable for a house with little or no yard?

I am about to move to a new house in new city- thought would have a big yard but the house I have decided on does not. Would like any reccomendations for a medium sized relatively low maintenance guard dog. Any advice appreciated..

Thanks for the feedback. I would definately look toward the larger dogs listed but will do more research. Excuse my inexperience, but how about a Doberman? Could a well trained Doberman fit my description above?
