We were watching animal planet's "animal cops" and saw a dog with the name Baron which means warrior or freeman. I think it fits any male rescue dog that has overcome a battle and is now finding a better home.

If your girlfriend does win out (we usually do)... be carefull on the golden and poodle mix. Many have been returned to rescues or shelters because owners find out that the dog did indeed shed!

I am sorry for your loss!!!
I consider myself pretty overprotective but this was really something I hadn't even thought about! I always am warning about frogs and skinks (which can cause neuorological problems or death).

I actually just came across this in rescue turns out the pup had tonsilitus (sp?) its rare in pups but can happen... the breath was much better after antibiotics!
