In rescue I have usually found it the other way around. I use cheese or pieces of liver (any treat that they really like) to help the dog focus on me rather than the environment. Also LOTS of soft voice praise and encouragement. Good luck!

I dress up our crew & fosters on holidays and for events. I love to show off my bebes and I think/hope they like it too! Plus for my fosters I notice that when I dress them up and place them on petfinder they are usually adopted within that week!

Being in rescue I have become one paranoid mama when it comes to even letting my girl outside. We hear/see many horror stories (even in rural areas) that happen to outside dogs anything from eating rat posion, being shot/hit by a car, fighting wounds...

I hate hearing stories like this... especially with the people who really care about the well being of the dog! I come accross a lot of these horror storries in rescue especially when dealing exclusively with Bully breeds. Neighbors will give poison,...
