Can she call a 24hr emergency vet. If she told them how big the dog and quantity eaten they may be able to advise.

My vet had a BIG container of Cheerios to give out as "treats". I used them as training bits.

I think several a day would be fine. Just not a bowl! The vet said they were fine to give.
