I love all the breeds except Pit Bull ( I do not know why)

I will be going again Tomorrow ,
They are bringing the dogs and Cats to Broadway ( between 42nd amd 43rd street)

How any one in the right mind can kill mans best friend ?
I do not get it
I am not sure whether the government can pass Law not to kill dogs or cats in any shelters
