Is the cat young? I hear that nerve development may improve as the pet matures. Also more liquids than solids in their diet.

Ear mites are caused by parasites. It is spread by contact, and is especially prevalent in outdoor cats.

No, but it seems a little funny to keep a cat inside to be exposed to an area it is allergic to.
