This is pretty off topic, and I apologize, yet many of the remarks made on this thread reminded me of something else I've been thinking about.

Its very likely with social animal populations to find homosexual tendencies. In our closest evolutionary relative: Pygmy Chimpanzees (bonobos), homosexual acts are frequent and well documented. This occurs both in males and females.
