I don't know how a dog gets tapeworms. But I had a cat who had tapeworms, and the vet said she probably got them from a mouse that she ate. But it was easy to treat, and there's been no recurrences. But I believe the medicine the vet gave was tot...

You know, this really scares me, because I live in Pa! (one of the top 7 states for puppy mills) AND...I live in York County, which is right next to Lancaster County, notorious for both puppy mills and Amish!!!
And this is probably a dumb question,...
