I too have wooden floors,(Banboo to be exact) and I also notice drool drips now & again. I simply take a damp cloth & rub the area & then buff dry. There should be no reason for the saliva to leave any permanent marks though.

Yes ZERO, the mighty tennis ball is also a great idea. But you need to buy REAL tennis balls from the sporting goods stores. The balls they seel in pet shops are too soft for the purpose of teething.
