IT is hard to tell from a photo, but the shelters here in the US all have vets on staff. Ask the shelter if the vet can look at them and tell you what they are. IF they are something "bad" the shelter vets can do...

What you described could be a number of things. Call your vet back and tell them as much detail as you can about this, and tell them you are on a budget but want to do what is necessary to help your dog. Most vets will work with you (and your budget)...

Thank goodness you stepped in and helped that poor little girl....some think that birthing is easy and mother nature will step in and all will go well. Sometimes it does but more often than not....it doesn't.
