You are describing parvo. They don't all vomit nor do they all have diareaha (sp?). I don't recommend you give their shots yourself. It is best for the dog to be given by a vet. The shots you buy over the counter may not have been properly handle...

My vet told me that once they have had Parvo, chances are slim they would ever get it again. Are her vaccinations up to date? Has she been in contact with the other dog? Leave the puppies nursing her. They do get Mom's immunity. Even if she ...

I agree with Taters Mom, I want my dogs home where I can watch them. My vet encourages them to go home, unless they are outside dogs. Of course my vet is available through a phone call, any time, any day.

You said you wanted a dog to ward of robbers and protect the kids, since you have been robbed multiple times. That would be extremley hard for the dog to do when it is outside in a kennel. A dog in kennel won't deter burglars entering your home. I...

I would guess it is marking and the fact she smells this other dog. Since they aren't the best of friends, she maybe trying to claim his territory. But that is just a guess (lol).

Could also be an allergy issue. I had a dog that licked his paws raw. Check with your vet.

I meant to say, if she has NOT been outside around other animals, I doubt she has rabies.
