There is a reason the dog whisperer tv show has all those disclaimers telling the veiwers to not try those methods at home.
The OP needs a qualified trainer to come in and see what is going on.

You need more help than a message board can give you. My advice would be to contact a reputable trainer( you can search for an APDT in your area) Meanwhile, stop holding your dog down and stop dragging him to his crate.

I agree. My sister bought her first pup from a pet store because she didnt know any better. She found her next pup from a reputable breeder after educating herself about pet store puppies.
