I have a Shepherd and she does that when my other female comes around her.

They play but it is a dominance thing. If you mean when it comes up and then goes down when the dogs are calm.

There are 2 pups, one thats a 6 month old and another thats only 2 and a half months old, at a shelter in Quebec. Their website is www.bergerblanc.com

I feel so sorry for the both of you. Both of you had to make a change in your life style. I hope in time this all works out.
