I posted a while ago about Dakota, my now 11 month old yorkie and his constant itching. I went to my vet and have had him on a non-allergenic diet (Hill's brand Ultra Allergen Free and the same treats) for 7 weeks and he is still itching. Majority of...

I would agree that you have to try the crate training regardless. It shouldn't take long for him to get used to it. I will tell you this though, my Dakota is 8 months old (yorkie) and your story sounds very similar to mine. He won't poop in the house...

At first I was bathing him more frequently but now it's been about every 2 1/2 weeks or so I'd say. I hear different things about how often they should have a bath but I am hearing more and more about sensitive skin shampoos and am going to try those...

I live in WI and so right now it's in the single digits here. There was a time they were getting a bath once/wk but lately it's been once every 2 1/2 week or so.

I have bought a new shampoo for more sensitive skin to see if maybe that hel...

thanks for all of the suggestions. The Sentinel I am talking about is a heartworm preventative with the flea treatment as well. I will try the shampoo/conditioner idea. Have any of you heard of the dry skin theory in winter with your dogs? Like I me...

puppy pro plan. Until a month or so ago he was fine and he has been on it since I got him in August. Friends have told me stories about their dogs getting like this in winter and especially when they lie in front of the heat vent but I just want to b...
