Do you have a crate or pen that you can contain her in until she is more focused? If she's jumping around and still groggy she could injure herself.

As far as not getting a dobe if you don't want the ears cropped (the standard)....what do cropped ears have to do with the intelligent, athletic, loyal, and funny dogs that I have made part of my life for the past 20 years?

7 of the 8 dobes I have had in my life have had natural ears...4 have come from rescues...and I loved them all, even if the looked "ridiculous"

I think I'm in the minority, but I've always preferred the natural look...with the exception of 1, all of my dobes have been natural.
But it really is a personal preference.

If you want to leave without confrontation and aren't concerned about her knowing the reasons why, I would just email her and say that you're sorry, but things in your life have changed and your time needs to go to other areas right now.
