The kids are getting theirs tomorrow. What do most of you do in the winter? I have 3 friends that are vets...1 says it's best to give all year, the other 2 say it's good to give a break in December, January, Feb.

No matter what you finally decide to use, the trick is to freeze it...the dogs seem to like the cold sensation and it takes them much longer to work on the treat. If you come up with any tasty combinations, pass them along...my guys are always...

You need to supervise them while they have them, I've never had a problem with them because once they cleaned out the treats I take the bone away. If you are uncomfortable with the marrow bones then definatly use the kongs...I would but for some r...

Good point, I didn't make that clear...never cook the bones, it does make them very brittle. I've never had an issue with a dog cracking teeth but it is a risk...my guys just do not like kongs.

We buy medium to large marrow bones from our training center or sometimes the butcher at the market will sell us some. The dogs eat the marrow and everything from the bone. Afterwards we clean off the rest of the bone and just wash it down ...
