You can always take him with you to find another dog. Female dog might be the best, since it's more likely she will not try to take over. If it seems no dog gets along with your dog, try asking a behavoir expert for advice.

Take something he will usually get from the tables. Tell him to sit then slowly put it on the floor. If he moves, correct him to sit again. Tell him to leave it after it's on the floor. If he looks away that's a very good sign as well. As for the dig...

It depends what type of energy you have or are looking for in a dog. Low energy = lap dog. High energy = sports/working dog. If the energy of the dog and owner don't match, there will be trouble!

Just as title saids. Sometimes he likes to stick only his head under the blanket to sleep or his whole body and only his nose peeking out. When he's in my lap he occasionally likes to stick his head between my elbow and side to sleep. Not really much...
