What sort of "antsy" behavior is she exhibiting? Since "She does NOT play with other dogs," why do you think acquiring another dog (laidback or not) will help with her "antsy" issue?

"I can't take him for walks everyday though , because I don't have the time but I try to give him those toys he can shew but the problem is , he only plays with them when I'm around , otherwise , they're thrown on the floor and he's tearing something...

Temperament heredity, as far as I can tell, is generally a BREED thing, a lot of times even a LINE of a BREED thing -- given a stable, loving home. I've never seen it broken down as to gender with a breed. I think, in your situation, it's a crap shoo...
