Scout, really? I dunno about that...lol...I really like the english mastiff because I LOVE the really light fawn ones with the black mask. I just think they are the most gorgeous dogs.

I'm with Scout and Mls. I would love to have an old english mastiff. Think hubby would flip a lid if I spent 1000 plus on a dog right now though.

my dog likes when I play the piano. He will come sit at my feet and move his head to the side, like, 'what's that?' :)

These are all good advice I think. I wanted to add something I read once about hyper dogs or dogs that jump. When you give them attention for that behavior they are getting what they want. They are hyper or jump because they want you to pay attention...

eskie, that's funny about the bugs. I remember when my hubby got our cat, I wasn't too keen on the idea at first, and then he said, "Cat's are great at killing spiders" and that's all I needed to hear. lol
