It is supposed to be an acre to an acre and a half per horse for a pasture.

But remember there are many locations where horses do not get any turn out or only go out in 10 by 15 pipe corrals.

Always go with opposite sex when you have just one already. But if you plan on another down the road think carefully because dobes can be same sex aggressive and males often have other male aggression.

I don't agree with breeding out of standard dogs but if they branch off and breed them well I would be interested long down the road. Depends on a ton of different things though.
