Find a vet ASAP and get him there, even if you have to drive an hour to get to an emergency vet. Also take that towl with you so they can see the blood.Good luck and please let us know how he is doing in the morning.

I agree these pet owners seem to think that they can put there dog there and nothing is going to happen. what are they thinkin, if they would not drive with there small kid in the back why do it with a puppy or older dog.

Is there a law that says dogs should be in crates in the back of trucks In CA. If not how do you go about getting a law like that.
