Definitely keep dogs inside if you are going to be around fireworks. Leave a light on to dim any flashing coming in through windows/doors that might upset the dog. And provide white noise to lessen the effect of the loud noise. If you don't want...

My dog gained a lot of weight just by eating table (human) food and a lot of Milk Bones. That could fatten him up quickly. But, it also has its drawbacks: begging, too...
