Even if his dog "picks and chooses his enemies" which, ALL things do, by the way, why would this mean she has to go back to the shelter? You two have discovered your dogs don't get along. That is a situation simply controlled.

It depends what the magnet was made out of. Plastic? Nylon? Metal?

Call your vet. It's the only thing now. It may not be an emergency if it was small... might come right back out. But they will help you with the right steps.

hmm... I would be worried with the fever.... but, you don't KNOW she has one (I fully support your mother's intuition).

You could try hamburger with the rice instead of chicken... or lamb (I think you said you feed lamb food).

First of all... why on earth would you return a puppy for not eating? That is weird.
Second.... what did the vet say about how much the dog should be eating?

I do not think that you want your dog to be aggressive toward strangers.
You want your dog to be on a walk with you and attack "strangers"? That is aggressive.
What you want is your dog to be "on guard" when you are in the home and the dog...
