Just pull it out with a tweezer as best you can. You try to do it in one shot to get the head out. But if you don't its not a big deal because the dogs body will expell it on its own eventually.

Puppy vomited again today a few hours after his first meal. I talked to the vet. She said that worst case could be intestinal blockage but otherwise probably instestinal irritation. And the fact that he is holding down water is a good sign.

My 5 month old lab puppy vomited twice so far. We are traveling for the holidays. Also we gave him a Hartz Smokey Hambone earlier which was supposed to be "long lasting' but he demolished it in about 10 minutes.
