Oops, may have had some of the specifics wrong, but there are certainly a lot of dogs that need homes. I found an article in the Frederick Co. paper about it. Here is the link to it, if anyone is interested. Contact info. is included.

If anyone in Maryland or Southern PA is looking to adopt a rescue dog, I'd give the Frederick County Humane Society a call. They had 75 dogs turned in yesterday, they couldn't house them all, so some have been placed in other shelters and foster care...

I'm currently reading "the Dogs Mind," and the vet who wrote it is of the opinion that no matter how young you do it, the dogs do feel the pain, they just react to it very slowly. He also seems to think it has an impact on the developing psyche of th...

Wow, I had no idea. I know mine don't smell that bad! I think I will have my brother come over and take a whiff the next time someone is in heat, though. A good thing about brothers, you can always count on them to be honest with you about things li...

I hope you'll post pictures when the puppies come.
I just love all the herding breeds, I haven't met a Mini Aussie in person yet, but I bet they are precious.

Could be many things, but it sounds pretty serious. If there is an emergency vet in your area that you can get her to right away, I would do that. First thought with a dog that young is always that they have eaten something they shouldn't, and it cou...

Don't be too hard on him, if I had to sit in a house with a smoke alarm going off and I couldn't do anything to stop it AND I didn't understand what the noise was, I would probably have done worse. Count your blessings that there is still glass in al...

Illusion is right, get them fixed ASAP, and your life will be so much easier.
I've never noticed a smell before my girls start bleeding, and only a slight odor then. I wonder if she actually has an infection of some sort?
Has anyone else no...
