Did you ask the vet about it when you took her back for the leg thing? I would have had them run another test if i wasn't sure.
Run another test or have her x-rayed just to make sure.
It could also be a false pregnancy. Either...

I'm afraid of chow's. When I was a kid, my neighbor had one and it was mean. That's the only experience I have with older chow's - as i've only been around a few pups since i've been older.

How long are you leaving her alone in the crate? If it's longer than 4 hours.......then the problem is yours and not the dogs.
