Hi jim,
In my opinion a female should be spayed before she even gets to that first heat. Sometime after 6 months is my experience just to not inhibit their growth.

Personally I don't see how a "beautiful dog" with a "wonderful personality" equal a reason to breed. I could see looking into breeding if you were to shoow your beautiful girl and get her pointed and then finish her. She would then be a champion ...

Bulldogs also have so many health problems. Probably because there are so many backyard breeders.
