maybe she is just marking what she thinks is her territory I know how annoying this can be my 5 yr old gets mad at me sometimes and she pees on my things only once in a while but it is annoying when it happens

I don't think it hurts any if he lets him/her out when you two are home but I do see where you are coming from and from growing up I know that dogs learn how to hold it when you are not home. Good Luck.
